Musical Biography
Guitarist, singer/songwriter Burl Sheldon has been performing for 27 years. He's opened for The Wilders, Laura Love, Livingston Taylor, Cheryl Wheeler, and John Hammond. His live performances have been aired on the syndicated radio shows River City Folk and West Coast Live. His first CD, Tidal Lore, was showcased as an independent release on NPR's World Cafe with David Dye.
Burl grew up in a musical family and remembers that there was always a rock 'n roll band practicing in the basement. Some of his musical influences include Doc Watson, Taj Mahal, Robert Johnson, Stan Rogers, and '60s and '70s rock. Burl's musical style reflects his love of country blues, r&b, and folk music.
